This building is situated in a conflictive point in San Juan, where several special circumstances take place which have conditioned the project. It is situated in a block in a residential area, separated from the old town by the old river bed of the "Rio Brejillo". This very regular area ends in the main road Sevilla-Huelva leaving an approximately curving triangular space. Therefore, the site is on one hand the end of a newly created housing state area to be consolidated shortly and on the other hand the beginning, the gate of the town, already consolidated. The answer given to these surrounding conditions is a unique building of an almost triangular shape and with a volume that translates to the exterior the very powerful functional scheme of a Center of these characteristics; with spaces and space relationships previously fixed. The wall of the facade is the main element in the project. It works as a screen separating the building from the road, hiding the views of the back of the houses of the town (which were never expected to extend on this side), acting as if it were the remaining part of the surrounding wall of the town. It also gives the building a public character needed for its easy recognition even at high speed from the road.
